Kruger Park wins Hollywood Park feature
Kruger Park beat Hurry Up Austin by 2 lengths Thursday in the $45,000 feature race at Hollywood Park. Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Kruger Park ran 6 furlongs on the turf course in 1:08.85 and paid $10, $5.40 and $4. Hurry Up Austin returned $7 and $4, and Sam Samir paid $6.80 to show. The victory, worth $27,000, increased Kruger Park's career earnings to $77,600, with two wins in seven starts. Gomez also won the first race on the card. He leads the nation's jockeys with $23.
