What makes a reputable online establishment?
|
These are the questions I am asked more often than any other. Can I trust you? If I win will I get paid out? How do I know that the software is fair? The simple answer is that, as a player, you don't know until that eventuality arises. If I were an online gambler, which on occasion I am, I choose names I have heard of. This I am afraid is also a big mistake. Many online establishments advertise aggressively and they are all over the internet. Every search engine, every website seems to lead to them, everywhere you turn they popup out of the blue. Most are simply in it for the short term gain and then disappear like ships in the night. So how can you check that they are reputable? There are plenty of watchdog websites where people tell their tales of woe. How they were cheated, not paid and completely ignored by customer service and finally management. Check these websites out, although some of the complaints need to be taken with a pinch of salt since most players that lose will think the software is to blame. In alot of case this is not true, however check the wizard of odds site www.wizardofodds.com and he has a list of casinos that have had their software approved by him. Check what independent testers they have and whether they are associated with any gambling associations like the internet gaming council. Some online casinos have their own fake councils that they say are watching their every move so check up on them too. Do a simple google search for a particular casino and see what complaints have been lodged against them. Check who regulates them. Where they are licensed? If it is some strange island in the middle of nowhere then be wary of them. Check which payment methods they accept. The more they accept the more legitimate the operation is, in my opinion. It shows they have taken the time to set all the financial system up and that the payment providers, that require checks, have approved them as merchants. Whats a good bonus and terms that come with it? Don't always look for the biggest bonus offer, they may sound great and ever so tempting but at the end of the day you may not see the winnings or your deposit again. Make sure you read the terms and conditions of every bonus offer to see whether they suit the way you play. Don't take the terms personally, they are there to tempt you and keep bonus abusers away. If you do not want to be bound by them then don't accept them and play on your own money. Many people have their own theory about bonuses and that they are an evil, personally I prefer to play with more money and enjoy the games. Just remember that reputable online casinos can be found, you just need to do a bit of checking first. Good luck and Happy Gaming. Steve Morgan Club World Casinos |
